Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes the policies of Tessellare AG, Waldisbergweg 34, Freienbach 8807, Switzerland. You can contact us at hello@tessellare.com.

We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What data we collect and why

Demo requests. When you request a demo through the form on this website, we collect your first and last name, your work email address and, if you provide one, your message. We use these details only to respond to your request, answer your questions and agree how to run a backtest or demo with you.

Contact and correspondence. If you contact us directly by email, we retain that correspondence for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter.

Technical data. When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. We do not use this data to identify you or to build a profile of you.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP):

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31(1) FADP): for responding to demo requests and enquiries, and for evaluating whether we can work together, where our interest is not overridden by your rights.
  • Pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): where your request may lead to a business relationship with Tessellare.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): where you have given your consent, for example by ticking the consent box on our demo request form.

4. How long we keep your data

Demo requests and related correspondence are retained for twelve months from the date of your last contact with us. If we enter into a business relationship with you, we retain relevant data for the duration of that relationship and for a period thereafter as required by applicable law.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run this website and our email:

  • Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this website.
  • Resend, Inc., which delivers demo requests from this website to our inbox. We use its EU region, so the sending servers are located in Ireland.
  • Google LLC, which provides our email through Google Workspace.

These providers process personal data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements.

6. International transfers

Cloudflare, Resend and Google are headquartered in the United States and may process personal data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as recognised by the FDPIC. We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside Switzerland or the EEA except where legally permitted.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and FADP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • The right to have your data deleted, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • The right to restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
  • The right to data portability where processing is based on consent or contract.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@tessellare.com. We will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at fdpic.ch, or with the supervisory authority in your EU member state of residence.

8. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for analytics or tracking. We may use technically necessary session data to serve the website correctly; this data is not used for profiling or advertising.

9. Links to other websites

This website contains a link to LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting personal data to them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
